First Shotgun in Pin High History
The Ultimate
Two-Person Competition
Pin High brings golfers from across the Valley together each month for two-person competition built on fair play and good times.
With verified handicaps, tiered lottery pairings, and no sandbaggers allowed, every event delivers a level playing field, real payouts, and an unforgettable day on the course.
Tiers and random draw are back. Every player gets slotted by handicap tier, then teams are drawn at random. No partner to find. No stacked teams.
Next up: Talking Stick — O'odham Course, September 25. A 1:00 PM shotgun, 40 spots, everybody finishing together. First shotgun we've ever run. Every point you earn counts toward the first Pin High Invitational major, closing out the season.

The Experience
What is Pin High?
We’re not your Tuesday-night men’s league.
Pin High is a community of competitive golfers who want to play serious golf, meet great people, and win real money. Each month we host a two-person competition at top courses across the Valley — tiered pairings, random draw, and a format built for fairness, fun, and skill.
The mission is simple: Connect & Compete.
How It Works
Partner Event Format
No partner required. Every player is placed in a handicap tier, then teams are drawn at random — Tier 1 draws Tier 4, Tier 2 draws Tier 3. You meet your partner on event day.
Custom Pin High tee markers — black, white, and blue — are set for every level of play, with scoring built to keep things fair, honest, and every team in the hunt.
Stroke Calculation
Team handicaps are calculated using 35% of the lower handicap and 15% of the higher handicap, creating a balanced format that rewards strong play while keeping the competition fair across the field. Course slope and rating are built into the calculation to ensure consistency at every venue. In the event of a tie, scores will be matched using the back 9, then front 9, followed by the cumulative score of the final 3 holes, and finally a hole-by-hole comparison working backward from Hole 18.
Example:
A system that keeps the field fair while still rewarding strong play. See team examples below.

A Tier 2 player is randomly drawn with a Tier 3 player.
Cash & Prizes
Serious stakes. Bigger smiles.
No minimum payout, and payouts are no longer limited to the top three. Half the field gets paid.
Finish inside the event payout line and you make money — finish higher, take home more. First-time winners get a Branded Bills green hat.
Add sponsor prizes, premium gear, and bragging rights that last all month.
